China’s GAC Motor unveiled a concept sedan at the Guangzhou International Auto Show with the existential name Time.
The GAC Time is a five-meter, four-door executive electric vehicle with an exterior dedicated entirely to the goal of maximum streamlining. The car has a short nose and a roof sloping into the rear.
There are almost no protruding parts outside. The huge windshield extends almost to the C-pillar – and thus forms a panoramic ceiling. Long, tapered headlights evoke associations with Japanese concept cars from the 80s. The rear lights with a volumetric concave diffuser also look interesting. The rear doors swing open against the direction of travel, there is no B-pillar.
The manufacturer did not disclose any technical details about Time GAC, it is understandable – this is just a design exercise that demonstrates the direction of development of creative thought in the company.
