The chief designer of Rolls-Royce Jozef Kaban has decided to leave the company, reports Automotive News. In this position, he worked for only six months. The next place of work 46-year-old Slovak is still unknown. The reasons for dismissal, he stated that resigned for the sake of “finding other interests”.
“Although Jozef Kaban has worked in Rolls-Royce a very short period, we thank him for his contribution during his tenure. We wish him all the best in future”, – said the head of the British company Torsten müller-Ötvös.
Jozef Kaban was chief designer of Rolls-Royce on 1 April this year. The previous designer of Rolls-Royce Giles Taylor left the company in the summer of 2018. He now works in a Chinese company FAW.
Jozef Kaban from February 2017 worked on the design of BMW cars. To this company he managed for more than 10 years to work on the Volkswagen. The Slovak managed to develop the design of the supercar Bugatti Veyron and earn many different awards. Since 2006 he was head of the design Department of Audi AG. In Audi Jozef Kaban was responsible for design, concept cars and cars of serial production.
1 Feb 2008 wild Boar was head of the Department of design development of the Czech carmaker Skoda. Top Manager worked on exterior restyled Citigo and Rapid. In addition, the Boar was designed Yeti a new generation which had not yet been presented.
The nearest premiere Rolls-Royce will be the Ghost sedan next generation. Production machines will establish the plant in Goodwood (West Sussex). The main competitors of new items will be Bentley Flying Spur and the Mercedes-Maybach S 600. The exact date of the premiere is unknown.
