Large seven-seat SUVs are gaining popularity not only in the U.S. market, so most manufacturers increase the wheelbase of their SUVs to install a third row of seats. So Opel decided to take this niche – these days photospin managed to capture the novelty, which was tested in Europe. Judging by the pictures, we have before us a test mule created on the Peugeot 5008.

The novelty is typical for Opel models form DRL, familiar for a younger model Grandland X. similarly, the design of the rear lights is more consistent with Grandland X, not 5008, although the profile of this prototype is definitely reminiscent of Peugeot. It also shows that this new Opel is likely to get front-wheel drive, and 5008.

Information about the name of the new 7-Mastaga Opel yet, but the debut model will take place in the near future. The truth is the first pictures of the prototype test, indicating early stages of testing. Provided that many Buda borrowed from the Peugeot 5008, perhaps, the debut of the new Opel is expected in early 2020.
