The driver from Germany hansjörg the Gemmingen in just five years drove the electric Tesla Model S over 1 million kilometers. This run was the world record for the model, reports the newspaper Die Welt.
The gemmingen, to which the drive is the main hobby, acquired a Tesla Model S P85D modifications in 2013 and since then, every day drove more than 600 kilometers. During this time in an electric car twice had to replace the battery three times and the power plant.
The run with the latest power unit made up of more than 680 thousand km, while the battery pack is allowed to pass about half a million kilometres without a significant loss of maximum health.
The gemmingen noted that most of the technical problems with the car were resolved under warranty automaker, so periodic maintenance for five years did not require significant cash outlay. The driver also stated that it now intends to pass on this “Tesla” at least one million miles (1.6 million kilometers).
