Texas-based tuning studio Hennessey Performance continues the senseless (but fun) tradition of finding the fastest carrier for the Christmas tree. This year, a Porsche 911 Turbo S was chosen for testing with a boost to 750 hp. engine.
The gray Porsche 911 Turbo S with a Christmas tree tied to the roof is the personal car of John Hennessy, founder and owner of Hennessey Performance. The car was driven by racer Spencer Geswine.
The modified twin-turbo engine with a volume of 3.7 liters instead of the standard 650 produces 750 hp. Without a trunk and a tree on the roof, such a sports car is capable of accelerating to 332 km / h, but with the traditional Christmas attribute, Geswine managed to “squeeze” only 282 km / h.
Hennessey Performance called the attempt “not bad.” The fact is that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with a 1000-horsepower engine remains the absolute champion in this business. In 2019, this SUV with a plant attached to the roof reached a maximum mark of 291 km / h.
