The new Ford F-150 Police Responder patrol pickup truck was named the fastest vehicle currently on the US Police Service. This is reported by the Motor1 edition with reference to the press service of the American automaker.

According to recent tests by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan State Police Department, the Ford F-150 Police Responder accelerates from standstill to 60 mph (96 km / h) in 5.4 seconds – “at least” for 0.4 sec. faster than any other patrol vehicle.

In addition, the pickup is capable of gaining 100 mph (160 km / h) in 13.1 seconds, which is 0.8 seconds. less than the fastest competitor. It takes 14.4 seconds for the car to complete the classic American drag racing distance of a quarter mile (402 m). – for 1.0 sec. faster than previous generation machines.

The new Ford F-150 Police Responder debuted in March 2021. The pickup was equipped with an upgraded 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost petrol turbo engine developing 405 hp. and 678 Nm of torque, which is 25 forces and 41 Nm more powerful than the engine of the previous generation police pickup.

The unit operates in tandem with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a plug-in all-wheel drive system, which transfers part of the traction to the front axle when there is insufficient grip on the rear wheels. The pickup has a top speed of 197 km / h, which is 36 km / h more than its predecessor.
