Subaru has published the first video teaser of its future electric car called Solterra: the company is developing it together with partners from Toyota.
The presented video teaser, in addition to demonstrating the new electric crossover Subaru Solterra in motion, also shows some exterior details: in particular, boomerang-like taillights, 2 compact spoilers on the sides of the roof and tailgate junction, as well as head lighting equipment. Each new headlight consists of 4 LED blocks.
The interior of the Subaru Solterra off-road vehicle is distinguished by a digital instrument panel removed to the windshield, as well as a glossy center console: it includes vertical and horizontal parts that smoothly flow into each other. On the vertical part there is a large multimedia display, in the lower part there is a touchpad, a set of touch buttons, as well as a transmission selector.
It is expected that the overall appearance of the Subaru Solterra will be a copy of the exterior of the Toyota electric car. The latter was presented in April under the name bZ4X in concept status. From the same crossover, the new Subaru company will borrow the chassis and a set of engines, however, the partners have not yet disclosed the technical parameters of the serial cars. Both electric cars are slated to debut in 2022, but Toyota is slated to show its SUV first.
