With the internal combustion engine turned off, such a crossover travels 57-70 kilometers on a single charge.
The “socket” version of the new KIA Sorento was announced back in February, but its production was established in Korea only now. The modification is intended exclusively for European markets, where it will appear at the beginning of next year.
The Sorento PHEV powertrain combines a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine (180 hp and 265 Nm), an electric motor (67 kilowatts and 304 Nm) and a 13.8 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. The combined output of 265 hp and 350 Nm makes this all-terrain vehicle the most powerful member of the family in the entire history of the model’s presence in the EU.
