Subaru will hold two presentations of its new Solterra electric crossover, developed in conjunction with Toyota: the first will take place online on Thursday, November 11, and the second will be public and will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17. Ahead of its debut, the Japanese brand has released a final teaser image of the model, which has already been confirmed for the markets of Japan, North America, Europe and China.

The name Solterra is composed of two Latin words sol and terra – “sun” and “earth”. The crossover itself is unified with the Toyota bZ4X, which debuted at the end of October this year. Both electric cars are built on the e-TNGA platform, which is an electric variant of the global TNGA architecture, but Subaru renamed it e-SGP.

The design of the novelty has already ceased to be a secret – earlier, a crossover without camouflage appeared in a teaser video. The electric car will feature boomerang taillights, spoilers on the sides of the upper edge of the fifth door, and glossy black exterior details.

The motors will be the same as those of the bZ4X. In the case of the Toyota electric cross, the front-wheel drive version is equipped with one 204 horsepower electric motor and a 71.4 kilowatt-hour battery. To “hundreds” of such an electric car accelerates in 8.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 160 kilometers per hour.

The all-wheel drive bZ4X is equipped with two electric motors on each axle, and the total output of the power plant reaches 217 horsepower. The top version accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.7 seconds.
