Japanese sports brand Nissan Nismo could create a true rival for the American compact pickup truck Ford Ranger in a powerful performance of the Raptor.
The boss of the mission of Nissan company in Australia is pushing the company to think about the possibility of creating a powerful version of the Navara pickup, which could compete with American high-performance Ford Ranger Raptor. He especially wants under the hood of the car was the engine with lots of cylinders and not the upgraded version of the existing four-cylinder turbodiesel that is used in the current version of the pickup.
“I would like that under the hood is a more powerful execution of the Navara pickup truck was a high-performance motor and we have some amazing engines in mind,” said Stephen Lester, who heads the representative office of Nissan in Australia.
“Believe me, we don’t miss the opportunity to remind our engineers that the truck is quite a large engine compartment, which can accommodate an extra couple of cylinders …”
The recently published “spy” images indicate that Ford is preparing to introduce a version of the powerful pick-up Ranger Raptor, which is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine, which the model uses in the European markets, is likely to be the 2.7-litre V6 turbo 325 horsepower and a torque of 542 Newton meters. The date of the debut of such a machine is still a mystery.
