Will go under the hammer a rare Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson that had once belonged to the family of the “King of rock-n-roll”.
It is difficult to imagine that one of the cars of Elvis Presley with his attraction to public life and large garage you can forget. However, it is true: sedan Lincoln Continental some time after the death of Presley was in the private collection of James Pedrazzini, and all this time belonged to him. “Surfaced” is a limo for a simple reason: part of the collection Petrazzini will sell next weekend at the Mecum auction.
This car is the Manager of singer Tom Parker gave Elvis wedding in may 1967. Rumor has it that the limousine is often used by the family Presley for joint missions in Memphis. But the official confirmation of the fact of possession is a certificate of registration signed by the singer – also a kind of historical artifact.
Another interesting detail – a rather rare body type, which for this “Continental” was built in the Atelier of Lehmann-Peterson. Different limousine and interior decoration, in the style of private planes of the time, and advanced avionics.
The auction lot included the “dust of time”: James Pedrazzini, who owned a limousine Elvis Presley for decades, especially on the car was not paying attention. So sell it will be in the form in which it is now – along with all the accumulated dirt and “tired” interior. However, from auctioneers Mecum still expect to gain the car of the king of rock-n-roll of about 300 thousand dollars.
