American automotive startup Rivian has launched mass production of R1T electric pickup trucks. This was announced by the founder and CEO of RJ Scaring.
Rivian was the first to bring electric pickups to the consumer market. It has overtaken Tesla, General Motors and other EV brands.
Rivian Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe tweeted Tuesday September 14 that the customer’s first R1T pickup truck rolled off the assembly line at the Normal, Illinois plant.
Recall that the first startup Rivian presented prototypes of the R1T and the R1S SUV in 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. After that, the company raised funding from Amazon and Ford Motor, and last August announced an IPO application.
There are not so many details, but there are several photos that capture the moment of leaving the assembly line of finished cars.
