The outbreak of a new type of coronavirus can cause weaker sales of new cars in China and the emergence of problems with deliveries of cars across the planet. This was announced by Fitch ratings.
Thus, according to experts, the coronavirus will further exacerbate the problems of autosector in the current year.
If the epidemic will last only a couple of months, it would have no impact on the credit metrics of auto companies, and the sales volume will recover. In any case, the market will be under pressure until such time as will not be able to cope with an outbreak of a novel coronavirus.
As the Agency predicts, the sales volume of cars in China will start to recover in April and rise in the second half of this year. Supply disruptions that arose from interruptions of the production process at the enterprises in China, will be completed towards the end of February or early March.
