American company Superformance produces replicas of classic sports cars like the Shelby Cobra and Ford GT40, presented his latest work – a MKIII-R Cobra. Roadster in the style of the iconic 1960-ies, sold as a rolling chassis to which the buyer is entitled to choose the engine and transmission is a good choice.

Dvuhdverka Superformance MKIII-R is not just a copy of the Shelby Cobra, and a faithful reproduction of the iconic sports car licensed by Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. The basis of the Roadster lies a frame assembled from steel pipes of rectangular section, with integrated door hinges, steering column and mounts to the windshield. The company noted that more than 2/3 of the chassis components are interchangeable with original Ford GT40. Body MKIII-R is made of fiberglass and in the most stress points reinforced with steel tubes, cross members and plates.


Roadster suspension independent, A-arm unequal length. Front mounted telescopic Bilstein shock absorbers; rear – strut-type coil-over. The car has completean high performance aluminum radiator with two electric fans and thermostat, limited slip differential, brakes Wilwood (“database” chetyrehporshnevye, the surcharge – six), the front splitter of complex shape, rear diffuser and steering, led headlights and 18-inch wheels.
