The Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV entered the assembly line in 2006 and was produced until 2014. This model was considered a very interesting alternative to the Jeep Wrangler.
Toyota has never produced a convertible FJ Cruiser. So the owner of this 2008 SUV sent it to Newport Convertible Engineering in California to get the open-top vehicle.
As a result, the Toyota FJ Cruiser received a fabric soft top with an electric drive. This data is shared by the American auction Cars & Bids.
It was not limited to one folding roof. The SUV was equipped with 17-inch TRD wheels, Bilstein struts, Airlift rear air suspension system and a lockable center console. There is also a TRD antenna, rain shields on the windows, Toyo tires and FJ metal sill covers.
The basic version of the SUV has a lockable rear differential, protective plates, black fenders and bumpers, a full-size spare wheel, a trailer hitch, water-repellent upholstery on the seats, etc.
There is also a CD player and a nine-speaker audio system. The engine was left native to the off-road convertible: a 239-horsepower four-liter “aspirated” engine, connected to a 5-automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
