The European wing of Ford has announced the creation of a special limited version of the “charged” subcompact Ford Puma ST. Its design will be determined by thousands of users through a series of polls on Twitter and Facebook, which will take place from June 1st to 10th. Europeans will be able to choose the body color and interior trim, stickers, interior with or without badges, the colors of the stitching of seat belts and brake calipers, and the like. Plus the name of the special episode will also be decided by a vote.
The final look of the car has not even been determined yet, so for now you can only admire the teaser, which does not reveal anything except the running lights.
This idea of a “people’s special series” is not new. You can remember at least the Smart Brabus fan edition. And the public has already chosen the name for the model (it was Seat Tarraco). And Ford himself has that experience, too: Last year, 250,000 computer game fans voted to determine the key elements of the Team Fordzilla P1 concept, which was built live. Well, the specification and name of the special edition of the Puma will be revealed on June 18th. This version will go on sale at the end of the year with a limited (not yet named) edition.
