After a rather unexpected presentation of the Mazda3 Turbo, conducted by the Mexican arm of the brand, hosted the global debut in the United States. But with the exception of new photos and some details we were not told and did not show anything new.
2.5-liter turbo SkyActiv-G, which provided three years for North America stated of the basic 227 HP and 420 Nm when using gasoline with an octane index of 87 (similar to AI-92). Award “ninety-third” fuel (AI-98) the return increases to 250 HP and 434 Nm. And in Mexico, and the United States the engine is matched only with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
The new powerplant will be available for both hatchback and sedan. Standard equipment will include black 18-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, multimedia system with touch screen of 8.8 inches and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, speakers Bose with 12 speakers. Mazda3 Turbo will also get led headlamps and daytime running lights, heated front seats and mirrors, dual-zone climate control, head-up display, a wide range of security systems.
When you order the Premium package Plus the purchaser will get additional assistants driving, and a glossy black spoiler. From four-door model it will be located on the trunk, and the five-door on the roof. To American dealers the novelty will reach the end of the year, prices will be announced closer to start of sales.
