Acura has started production of the new generation MDX at its East Liberty Auto plant in Ohio, and the engine manufacturing site in Anna, Ohio, is assembling a 3.5-liter V6 engine for the SUV.
To fulfill their new role as the flagship model of the Acura brand, the representatives of the brand focused on taking MDX to a higher level, making a real revolution that will cause passion, excitement and emotions like never before.
Designed from the ground up and backed by an all-new light truck platform, the fourth-generation SUV will start arriving at dealers nationwide on February 2. Prices will start at $ 46,900 for the base model with front-wheel drive, while the Technology Package trim Level will start at $ 51,600. All-wheel drive versions will cost from $ 48,900 to $ 60,650.
Initially, power will be provided exclusively from the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 horsepower and 362 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive.
The 2022 MDX line-up will expand in the summer with the introduction of the top-of-the-line MDX type S, which will use a new turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 making approximately 355 HP and 480 Nm, and will also feature improved brakes, larger wheels and a sportier styling.
Although it is definitely an unfinished replica, I would be interested in contact details, anyway. Maybe this could be an interesting project.
