The range of “units M” added the four new products – a crossover BMW X5 and a cross-coupe X6 in versions M and M Competition. They got one engine at all, but to be expected in return.
BMW X5 M and X6 M in the standard version equipped with 4.4-liter V8 with twin turbo. It works with the AWD system with an active differential and 8-speed automatic Steptronic M. The unit develops 600 HP and 750 Nm of torque, that is, the impact is the same motor that is installed on the BMW M5 super-sedan.
Increase of 25 HP compared to the crossovers of the previous generation allows new products to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds (0.3 second faster than before), but the maximum speed remains unchanged at 250 km/h. However, installation of the optional package M Driver’s Package will remove the limiter to 290 km/h.
BMW X5 M and X6 M Competition Competition is to be expected on a 25 HP more powerful at the same torque figures. Accordingly, acceleration to 100 km/h in these crossovers is reduced to 3.8 seconds, but with a maximum speed of the story is the same as the basic crossovers.
Of course, the “hot” SUV acquired and redesigned suspension: standard equipment includes adaptive M dampers with active stabilization system with three modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport+. BMW X5 M and X6 M are equipped with the original 21-inch wheels, and for the Competition versions available 22-inch at the rear axle. They’re hiding a huge M-brakes with 395 mm discs and sectionseven calipers on the front axle and 380 mm at the rear.

Crossovers reconfigured regular “four-barrel” exhaust system so it sounds more consistent with the status, and 625-horsepower X5 and X6 are equipped with alternative M Sport exhaust, and 600 HP, it is available as an option.
In the interior there will be sports seats, M-steering wheel with leather, aluminum or carbon inserts, additional lights and the original joystick of gearbox. The list of equipment also includes the latest version of the original multimedia system with 12.3-inch monitor and digital instrument panel.
