The new 2023 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck entered road tests with a thick layer of camouflage. At the same time, this total disguise could not hide the more muscular shape of the truck, which became more square.
Judging by the first spy photos of the novelty, with the change of generation, the Chevrolet Colorado pickup will receive wider wheel arches. The redesigned front end with a slightly modified radiator grille and more modern optics will refresh the appearance of the model. But on the technical side, the pickup strives for continuity.
The new generation pickup will retain its previous architecture, however, the platform will be modernized. According to the GM Authority, changes should be expected in the interior of the updated Chevrolet Colorado, and a new engine is also being predicted for the novelty. It is a 2.7-liter inline 4-cylinder power unit from Sierra with 310 horsepower.
The pickup will be more technologically advanced, since it is possible that it will switch to the electrical architecture of GM Global B. After such an upgrade, the pickup will be able to update software “over the air” and offer customers the most modern infotainment technologies from GM. The factory in Missouri will be engaged in the release of the novelty for the domestic market.
But export pickups will be produced by a Brazilian plant.
The Colorado’s 2023 debut is promised to be organized next year. The first will be presented the main competitor of the novelty – Ford Ranger, and in six months the new Colorado will follow.
