Ford has unveiled the Bronco Riptide Concept, inspired by the beachfront, surfing and carefree lifestyle of the American West Coast. The car is a regular SUV with the Sasquatch package, supplemented with accessories from the branded catalog, as well as components certified by the manufacturer itself. It didn’t work out to buy such a Bronco – but anyone can assemble a similar car on their own.

Riptide (this term denotes ripple, or bursting current) is the third thematic concept based on the new Ford Bronco. The first two were called Bronco OG and Bronco + Filson Wildland Fire Rig and were dedicated to overlanding and forest fire fighting, respectively. Now Ford has turned its attention to beach lovers and has created an SUV that is best suited for, say, surfers.

First of all, Bronco Riptide was painted in Velocity Blue, reminiscent of the color of the ocean washing the coast of tropical countries. The seats are covered with water-resistant yacht vinyl in black and gray, and the floor is covered with easy-washable rubberized floor mats.

Bronco also got a Bimini mesh upper, a Yakima bike rack, a RIGID LED bar, additional mirror spotlights and an exclusive steel front bumper that hasn’t even been added to the accessories catalog yet.

Well, since this is a Bronco Sasquatch, there are also 17-inch wheels with optional badlocks and tires with an outer diameter of 35 inches, Dana 44 AdvanTEK axles with electronic locks, Bilstein long-travel shock absorbers with shock-absorbing end valves, final drive 4, 7: 1 and GOAT Drive Mode Switching System with seven profiles.

Under the hood of Riptide, a supercharged V6 2.7 EcoBoost is installed, developing 314 horsepower and 542 Nm of torque. Box – 10-range automatic SelectShift. For off-road driving assistance, there is Trail Control off-road cruise control, Trail One-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist.
