Ford has added two new shades to the Bronco body color range: Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Eruption Green Metallic. The first was previously offered for the Focus ST, and the second is a modern interpretation of the Mallard Green color scheme, in which the first generation Bronco was painted from the early to mid-70s of the last century. Acceptance of orders for such SUVs will open before the end of the year.
According to Barbara Whalen, Ford’s color and materials manager, Bronco fans are passionate about the color scheme and will definitely be delighted with the new metallic Eruption Green. It is a modern paint inspired by evergreens and the Mallard Green shade used for the first generation Bronco. Moreover, the color scheme is not as deep as, for example, in Ferrari, but with a yellowish tint, which “further emphasizes the connection with nature.”
Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Eruption Green Metallic SUV orders will open before the end of the year. Both paints will be available for both two-door and four-door versions. Meanwhile, at the end of the assembly of the 2021 model year cars, the blue Antimatter Blue and Lightning Blue Metallic, as well as the red Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat will be removed from the palette.
In total, 11 body colors are offered for the Bronco, among which there is a blue Velocity Blue, reminiscent of the oceans washing the coasts of tropical countries. This paint is used to paint Bronco Riptide, a concept or stylistic showcase, if you will, inspired by beach vacations, surfing and the carefree life of the American West Coast.
