The new generation Toyota Tundra will receive a hybrid motor

The Japanese company Toyota continues to work on a new Tundra SUV, and the latest rumors claim that the next-generation model, you may receive the 3.5-liter V6 engine with twin turbo hybrid electric system.

The power plant should be similar to the one used on the Lexus LS 500h is a 3.5 – liter V6 295 horsepower, which is paired with two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery and in total enables the sedan to develop 354 horses.

Yet Toyota has been silent on the future of the pickup, but it is expected that the new generation will be built on a completely new platform, and it market appearance is expected in 2021, while the world debut will take place a year earlier.
