In early December, it became known that the Korean premium brand Genesis is working on a new flagship crossover GV90, which will be located in the automaker’s lineup one step higher than the Genesis GV80 model. The novelty should debut in 2023. Independent designers from the Korean portal “Gotcha Cars” decided to show how the Genesis GV90 will look.
What is known today
The current lineup of the young Genesis brand consists of three sedans (plus a 4-door station wagon) and three crossovers, one of which is exclusively electric (GV60). It is assumed that the new “flagship” of the brand, like the GV60, will be designed on the E-GMP platform, designed exclusively for “battery” models. According to preliminary information, the length of the crossover can be 4930 mm, width – 2055 mm, height – 1790 mm, and the size of the wheelbase – 3100 mm.
To date, there are no official details about the possible appearance of the car, except for a photo with tightly camouflaged prototypes, no. One of the latest Genesis novelties was the new generation G90 sedan, so when creating the rendering of the GV90 (title photo), the designers focused on it.
The crossover can borrow a large radiator grille from its relative, which mates with the head optics in the form of narrow strips. The rendered car has a drop-down sill line and door handles hidden in the body.
Nothing is known about the technical side of the model yet. Its range on fully charged batteries is rumored to be around 300 miles or 482 kilometers. With a 350 kW charge, the batteries can be replenished in just 20 minutes.
The role of the current flagship of the Korean brand is still played by the Genesis GV80 SUV.
