The new Infiniti Q50 has decided to abandon the turbo

The automaker has prepared an update for Infiniti Q50 2020 model year, which has already raised the price of the model.

The big news is the refusal of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine that has an output of 208 HP and torque of 349 Nm. To counter the price increase, Infiniti introduces a new entry-level model called the Q50 3.0 t Pure. Price starts from 36 400 dollars, which means that it costs $ 750 more than the base model of last year, the Q50 2.0 t Pure.

This price increase is quite justified, because the Q50 Pure 3.0 t is equipped with two-cylinder 3.0-liter engine V6 power of 300 HP and 400 Nm of torque. In addition, the Q50 3.0 t Pure is more affordable than last year’s base model with a V-shaped two-cylinder V6, 3.0 t as Q9 Luxe 2019 began with 38 400 dollars.

Despite the fact that the Q50 3.0 t Pure rather poorly equipped, he’s got led headlights, dual exhaust system and 17-inch alloy wheels. Among other features – front seat with eight adjustments, upholstery-leatherette lunar black color and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Unfortunately, Infiniti will not offer packages for the base model, and customers can’t even get the premium color. The latest decision means that customers will have only four options, including Black Obsidian, Graphite Shadow, Liquid Platinum and Pure White. On the other hand, Q50 Pure 3.0 t can be equipped with an optional all-wheel drive system.

In addition to the new base model Q50 all receive a new infotainment system Infiniti InTouch, which has an upper 8 inch and lower 7 inch displays. The system boasts compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as support for Siri and Google Voice. In addition, drivers will find two new USB port with lighting.

Properly done, what was replaced or would be better left as is?
