Development of the second generation Renault Kadjar is in its final stages. The compact SUV has undergone a comprehensive redesign with a clear goal to compete with two benchmarks in this category – the Peugeot 3008 and Nissan Qashqai.

The second generation Renault Kadjar will soon become a reality. The development process is well advanced and is already in its final stages. The French brand is aware of the importance of the C-SUV segment, so it has decided to raise the stakes with its Renault Kadjar.

The crossover will adopt a new brand design language. A design philosophy that leaves soft shapes behind. Straight lines and angular trim emphasize the vehicle’s personality.

Renault intends to directly attack the crossover Peugeot 3008 and Nissan Qashqai, which are calling into question the leadership in the compact SUV segment. The novelty will receive a front part, in which the grille will be the protagonist. It will connect directly to the C-shaped light clusters. The bumper will have large air intakes.

At the rear, the new taillights will be positioned horizontally to enhance the sense of width. The raised waistline, combined with the sloping roof and the shape of the wheel arches, are equally important elements for the most interesting ensemble. The new Renault Megane e-Tech electric had a big impact on the design process.

The crossover will make a big leap forward in connectivity and automation, leveraging the Renault Group’s latest advances in these areas. It will integrate a new infotainment system that will enable all kinds of digital services. The digital instrument cluster and the display of the multimedia system will combine to create a single key element, allowing the driver to feel surrounded by the digital environment.

As for the mechanical part of the new Kadjar, as we have already indicated in previous publications, an unquestioning bet will be made on electrification. The current model is only available with conventional petrol engines. One of the highlights will be Renault’s new 1.2-liter TCe engine.
