A novelty from the Mazda brand for the European car market, which will appear in 2022, is called the Mazda CX-60. However, the company will also have an older model, the Mazda CX-80. A flagship SUV with a third row of seats should not be expected until 2023.
New models for the European market, the Mazda CX-60 and Mazda CX-80, will drive the company’s growth in the medium to long term. A modular development strategy based on Skyactiv technologies, integrated planning and flexible manufacturing approach will allow the company to expand its crossover range using the latest technologies.
The two-row Mazda CX-60 and the three-row crossover CX-80 will become the flagships of the brand’s European hybrid lineup. In them, an in-line gasoline four-cylinder engine will work in conjunction with an electric motor. The next-generation Skyactiv-X inline six-cylinder petrol engine and Skyactiv-D diesel will also be combined with a 48V mild hybrid system, which guarantees excellent performance while maintaining a high level of environmental friendliness.
From 2025, the company will introduce several new models based on a platform specifically designed for electric vehicles. They will be the next step towards electrifying the entire Mazda lineup by 2030.
