MINI has released the first official photos of the new generation of the three-door hatchback of the same name, which will go on sale in 2023. According to insiders, the novelty will be the only MINI model that retains the features and proportions of its predecessor – all other new cars of the British brand will receive a global redesign.
Judging by the published images, the new three-door MINI will be an upgraded or, more simply, an updated version of the current model on the UKL platform, presented back in 2013. Remaining on the same chassis, the updated hatchback will receive a reduced front overhang, slightly redesigned lighting equipment and a completely new interior, which should be an order of magnitude superior to its predecessor both in terms of technology and comfort.
Photos of the interior in MINI have not yet been shown. Also, the manufacturer does not disclose the characteristics of the new hatchback, which is likely to receive not only gasoline and diesel versions, but also fully electric (or hybrid) power plants.
Serial production of three-doors will be established in British Oxford. There, according to rumors, in 2025 they will start assembling a new MINI convertible, which is now being produced at the contract facilities of the VDL Nedcar enterprise in the Netherlands.
