The sports car will receive revised aerodynamics and a new exhaust system.
In 2022, Porsche will present its redesigned 911 GT3 RS sports car to the world. Until that happens, the German automaker is testing the new product at the Nurburgring. Judging by the published materials, the car will receive an active wing, which will automatically adjust to the speed of the car.
In addition, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will receive many additional cooling and aerodynamic elements. This will add a pair of large air intakes to the bonnet and new air vents in the front fenders to help direct airflow to the brakes.
In addition to all of the above, the prototype was equipped with two elements in the rear of the roof, the purpose of which is not known. The rest of the sports car will remain the same – the car will be driven by a 4-liter naturally aspirated boxer with a return of 520 hp. and a red zone around 9,500 rpm.
Judging by the gearshift speed on the prototype, the sports car will be equipped with a PDK “robot” with two clutches. The cost and exact time of the premiere of the updated Porsche 911 GT3 RS are not yet known.
