Toyota continues to fuel interest in the new Tundra pickup, which will premiere at the end of August 2021. This time, the company has published a short video showing an interesting glazing feature that has become the hallmark of the model. The new model will retain the electrically operated rear window and a two-piece panoramic roof.
The power rear window is not a new option for the Tundra. A similar element was installed on all pickups, starting with the first generation of the model. However, many auto manufacturers have stopped equipping their cars with such glasses.
Recall that the new Toyota Tundra pickup will share the platform and the V6 petrol engine from the Land Cruiser 300. The 3.5-liter unit produces 415 horsepower (650 Nm). The naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission will not be available in the new generation Tundra. As in the Land Cruiser 300, the 6АКПП will be replaced by a 10-speed gearbox with a torque converter.
The next generation Toyota Tundra will go on sale in the US in the fall of 2021.
