The first shots of the camouflaged Volkswagen crossover appeared in early December, now the Autohome edition has provided new shots. The car is being tested in China. Local media speculate that the new SUV will be part of the Volkswagen Talagon family. It is likely that the new product will receive the name Talagon X.

Some parts of the crossover are still covered with camouflage, but there is less of it. Now you can appreciate the profile, headlights and an updated front bumper. The head optics, grille and hood are completely different from the Volkswagen Talagon. In addition, additional windows in the rear pillars received a different design.

The dimensions of the new crossover are unknown, but judging by the photos, the new SUV will be more compact than the Talagon. The length of the latter is 5,152 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,980 mm. In addition, Talagon is offered in six or seven seats. It is possible that the new probable “relative” will be only in a five-seater version.

The new crossover is expected to be equipped with the same powertrains as the Talagon. Gasoline “turbo four” TSI series EA888 with a volume of 2.0 liters. Engine power – 186 or 220 hp. The lineup may include a 2.5-liter V6 EA390 turbocharged internal combustion engine. The power of such a unit is 299 hp. It is likely that the novelty will be front-wheel drive.

The official debut of the new Volkswagen crossover is expected next year.
