People looking for more performance can choose the GTI TCR. This version would also get soft hybrid 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, but with 286 HP, the Performance will also get growth with limited slip differential.


Finally, the Golf R will sit on top of the performance range of a hatchback. It is reported that he will also use soft hybrid 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, but this will have a capacity of 328 HP and 400 Nm. The only option the transmission is dual clutch with seven speeds. As with previous generations, the model is all-wheel drive.

Rumors suggest that the diesel GTI and GTD will debut in March 2020. TCR and Golf R will reportedly appear in September. Yet VW confirms only the GTI and Golf R to the United States. The standard version of the eighth generation Golf is not going to America.
