It is argued that the new generation of Tesla Roadster will be faster than its previous version. Previously it was announced that the prototype is able to exceed 400 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds. Soon supplies will start and we will know it!
Franz von Holzhausen, who served as chief designer of Tesla, recently gave an interview where he told that the production version of the Roadster should seriously outperform the prototype.
Background Holthusen also stood at the head designers of the North American division of the Japanese brand Mazda. He said that the development of a quadruple hypercar continues.
“Still working on it. It takes more time.”
“It will be even better than we announced at the presentation. In all senses”. says Background.
Recall, the Tesla Roadster of the second generation was introduced 2 years ago (back in 2017-th year). Even then its performance seemed very impressive. From 0 to 100 km/h it accelerates in just 2 seconds, to 160 km/h in 4.2 seconds and 1/4 mile overcame and did 8.8 seconds. Maximum speed stated above 400 km/h.
It is argued that all this is due to three-engine powertrain Plaid. Elon Musk in his twitter account said that she is “the only thing cooler Ludicrous”, and also it will be used in the Tesla models S and X, but the most budget models don’t get it.
Whether the Tesla Roadster will be the fastest buggy in the world today? Whether it accelerates to hundreds in just 2 seconds? Before we find out, as deliveries will begin in 2020.
“It’s an amazing car. He doesn’t like anything more”, – said the chief designer of Von Holzhausen. – “It shows what can really do the electric car”.
