The Range Rover limo, the Sultan of Brunei sell at auction


Auction house Silverstone Auctions at the auction of the closed festival car classic NEC Classic be auctioned limousine Range Rover was built for the Sultan of Brunei. A preliminary assessment of the lot – 18-24 thousand pounds (23 100 – 30 800 dollars).

Judging by the description of the lot on the Silverstone Auctions website, LSE Range Rover stretched Limousine built by the Townley Cross Country Vehicles Ltd. by order of the Sultan of Brunei. The car was meant for the younger brother of the sovereign Prince Jeffrey, and cost the buyer to 135 thousand pounds ($173 000).


The SUV is painted in a black color Rolls-Royce Mason Black that goes well with red Oxblood leather interior Connolly, Wilton rugs and decorative panels of burl walnut. In June 2000, this Range Rover took Mike Tyson in Glasgow before his fight with Lou Savarese. Later the car passed to the current owner – collector from Denmark.

In 2006, published a list of cars, motorcycles and buses belonging to the Sultan of Brunei. It became clear that the Eastern ruler, who is one of the richest monarchs in the world, owns 2 thousand 789 vehicles. Among them were, for example, nine McLaren F1 and Bugatti EB110 four.
