A very rare 1971 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 roadster has been put up for auction at RM Sothebys. However, the car with an estimated cost of $ 2.8 million did not interest anyone. Meanwhile, among the owners of this car was the Oscar winner, American director Sydney Pollack.
The famed cinematographer was the second owner of the roadster. He bought this Ferrari 365 GTS/4 three years old and resold the car a couple of years later. The car managed to visit Mexico, but then returned to the United States. In 1999, another owner made a complete restoration of this Ferrari.
For the entire time, the car has traveled 64,615 kilometers. Between 1971 and 1973, only 122 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 roadsters were produced. And only 14 of them were painted silver. The interior of the sports car is made in black and trimmed with high-quality leather.
The layout of the car is classic. Under the hood is a 4.4-liter V12 engine with 352 hp. (431 Nm). Through a 5-speed manual transmission, the torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes the model 5.4 seconds, the maximum speed reaches 280 km/h.
