The prototype of the updated Porsche Cayenne was spotted on the road during tests in Germany: spies captured the novelty from the outside and took several pictures of the interior for the first time. Exterior changes to the restyled model boil down to modernized front optics and bumper, but the interior is decorated with an eye on the new 911.
Among the innovations in the cabin are a new transmission selector (in one of the photos it is hidden by a black trim) and a central tunnel, decorated in the style of a 992 generation Porsche 911. In addition, an updated dashboard is expected, and the multimedia system is likely to remain old.
No changes are foreseen in the Cayenne engine range, although existing units may be revised. More details will appear closer to the premiere, which will take place in late 2021 or early 2022.
The current version of the Porsche Cayenne has been on sale since 2017.
Porsche is preparing other new items for 2021. In particular, the debut of the updated Macan line and the all-terrain version of the 911 called Safari is planned
