For the first time, Spies managed to capture a new Lamborghini supercar, which will be the direct successor of the Aventador model. The prototype coupe was spotted on the territory of the Italian brand plant. According to unconfirmed information, the car was built from scratch, equipped with a new V12 engine and differs from its predecessor in design. The debut is scheduled for next year.
The Lamborghini Aventador supercar lasted ten years in the series and spawned a huge number of special versions. For example, a piece Aventador J speedster was built on its basis, as well as the shocking Veneno, the track SC18 from the motorsport division Lamborghini Squadra Corse and, of course, the Sian FKP 37 superhybrid. The “farewell” Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae made a point in the history of the model.
It was promised that it will be released in an edition of 600 copies and will combine all the best from the extreme SVJ and the elegant Aventador S. The all-wheel drive Ultimae got the previous “aspirated” V12 6.5, only here its output was brought to 780 horsepower and 720 Nm torque.
Nothing is known about the supercar’s successor. Insiders say it will have an all-new monocoque and V12 engine, possibly with a hybrid superstructure. The car will retain the proportions and profile characteristic of the Lamba, but visually it will noticeably differ from the Aventador. The two-door will debut next year.
