Jaguar XF is going to undergo a facelift, as its competitor Mercedes E-Class, to avoid a “midlife crisis”.
For the first time the luxury British model is of medium size made its debut in September 2019, during tests of the prototype Sportbrake and now we can share fresh spy photos of the sedan. It is not surprising that the test instance is exactly the same camo in the same places that a more practical station wagons, and even the upper part of the dashboard is closed in a similar way.
Despite the heavy disguise, XF, it seems, receives new headlamps, although deceptive camouflage makes it look like a prototype with the same clusters. The front bumper is probably also new, and the taillights are different fresh graphics. Jaguar probably made some minor changes to the rear bumper.
More substantial changes will occur in the interior, where, according to preliminary information, in an effort to better compete with German counterparts are much higher tangible quality. Will also be more technology than before, because XF is supposedly using an additional screen for the climate control in the spirit of I-Pace and XE. Should also be a 12.3-inch digital instrument unit as the F-Type model year 2021, to keep pace with the times.
Detailed information about engines currently nedostupna, but the diesels are likely to become cleaner to meet more stringent European standards, is planned for 2021. It is interesting to see whether the newly developed 3.0-litre in-line petrol engine of Jaguar Land Rover, used in the restyled XF along with an electric supercharger and a turbocharger.
The updated XF will not be the only novelty in the line of Jaguar sedans this year, as the flagship of the XJ of the next generation will also debut in late 2020 with pure electric propulsion.
