The Volkswagen responded to the rumors about the imminent sale Lamborghini

It turns out, not all so sad.

Last weekend, Bloomberg, citing its own sources said that the leadership of Volkswagen is seriously thinking about the fate of the brand Lamborghini: the company allegedly already again may change the owner.

It was assumed that as the main two options – sale of the company to third-party owner or the output shares of a Lamborghini in an open letter. Moreover, according to the Agency, has already started work on the transformation of the company into an independent legal entity. The rejection of the Lamborghini could supposedly help the group focus on the development of key brands – Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche.

Meanwhile, representatives of the group told Reuters that in fact, no decisive action against a Lamborghini at this point is not discussed.

“We have no plans to sell or exit a Lamborghini at the IPO. Assumptions on this score are groundless,” – said in the Volkswagen.

Part of the group currently includes 12 brands, and that’s not the only company producing cars, but a motorcycle company, and truck brands. Earlier it was reported that VW has started posting some brands (especially Skoda and SEAT) for different market segments.

Brand Lamborghini have joined the Volkswagen Group in 1998, when it official became the owner of firm Audi AG.
