Previously decommissioned electric vehicles were denied by the manufacturer the ability to charge at fast gas stations.
Tesla has begun to return access to Supercharger to owners of decommissioned vehicles. This was announced on Twitter by one of the owners of such cars. Considering that in Ukraine most of the used Tesla cars came from the USA in the Salvage status (that is, “rescued after an accident”), they will be able to charge on fast charges in Europe. But not all. So far, access has been granted for Tesla Model 3, and in a quiet way – no official information has been received from the manufacturer.
Considering that there are still no branded Supercharger charging stations in Ukraine, the Ukrainian owners were neither cold nor hot from such a ban. They could only experience inconveniences when traveling across Europe.
However, for several years now Tesla has been promising to install several Superchargers in Ukraine. And if this happens, it will be strange if they cannot charge 70-80% of Tesla’s car fleet in Ukraine.
