TOP-5 of the safest cars of 2021


EuroNCAP selected the five best cars of 2021 to impress in crash tests. Among them are electric cars, executive cars, and budget models.

The European organization EuroNCAP handed out traditional awards to the cars that performed the best in crash tests in a year. The safest cars of 2021 were identified in different classes.

Last year, a lot of cars received the maximum rating of 5 stars EuroNCAP and five were chosen among them. The Mercedes-Benz EQS received two awards at once – as the safest electric car and an executive model. By the way, in both categories, he was ahead of the Polestar 2 from Volvo. Mercedes-Benz EQS crash test results:

  • Adult protection – 96%
  • Child protection – 91%
  • Safety for pedestrians – 76%
  • Security Devices – 80%

In the segment of large crossovers, the Skoda Enyaq electric car was awarded – 94% for the protection of adults and 89% for children, 71% for safety for pedestrians and 82% for safety systems.

The new Nissan Qashqai has been marked among compact crossovers:

  • Child protection – 91%
  • Safety for pedestrians – 70%
  • Security Devices – 95%

The new Toyota Yaris Cross has become the best in the class of small family cars:

  • Adult protection 86%
  • Child protection – 84%
  • Safety for pedestrians – 78%
  • Security Devices – 81%

Skoda Fabia 2021 was named the winner among compact cars:

  • Adult protection – 85%
  • Child protection – 81%
  • Safety for pedestrians – 70%
  • Security Appliances – 71%
