The French magazine L’Argus tried to understand the name system that the Japanese have prepared for their electric cars as part of the Beyond Zero initiative. In addition to BZ4X, there will be BZ1, BZ2, BZ2X, BZ3, BZ4 and BZ5 models.
Toyota’s first electric car under the Beyond Zero program will be declassified at the Shanghai Motor Show on April 19. According to L ‘Argus, Beyond Zero will be part of the brand’s upcoming EVs.
The first in this line is BZ4X, where “BZ” is an abbreviation for Beyond Zero, “X” indicates that the novelty belongs to crossovers, and 4 indicates the size of the car. The French magazine writes that the new electric cross will be comparable in size to the Toyota RAV4.
All of these names will be registered as trademarks, but L’Argus has not substantiated its assumption with the relevant patent documents. The BZ2X could also be a crossover, while the BZ2 and BZ3 could be vans.
Overall, Toyota has announced six solid-state electric vehicles.
With the expansion of their lineup with zero-emission vehicles, the Japanese will be able to strengthen their influence in the global market. Many countries today are digging out cars with internal combustion engines, taking care of the environment. And automakers are adjusting to this trend.
