The debut of the new generation Toyota Harrier was held in April of this year. Now on Friday, June 5, the Japanese journalists were allowed to test-drive the car.
As they stressed, cross got a digital salon mirror with an interesting feature that was not previously met. In itself, the digital mirror is not a new system: most of the automakers, particularly the Japanese, offer it as the standard system for many years. However, specifically for the Harrier it can record video from two cameras. One of them is located on the windshield and the other on the back.
Thus, the mirror performs the functions of an advanced video recorder that records everything that happens in front and behind the car.
Dimensions innovative mirror repeats the usual (254 x 49 x 66 mm). The integrated DVR has the function of protecting the recording during registration of the stroke. The video is saved on the microSD card.
Some of the JDM Harrier will be equipped with standard digital mirror function of the DVR. In the cheapest versions will offer optional. The cost is currently unknown.
