Toyota has updated the Camry for the new year

The Japanese automaker has redesigned its popular sedan for the North American market.

Despite the general decline in sedan sales, the demand for the Toyota Camry model remains stable high, and therefore, by the new model year, the automaker decided to revise the equipment of the model without seriously changing the exterior. The North American version has received an expanded list of equipment, which will now include the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ active safety complex, which now includes automatic high beam and traffic sign recognition.

The updated sedan will be equipped with adaptive cruise control, which will work in conjunction with the traffic sign recognition system. Thanks to this, the car learned to independently maintain the declared speed limit. The rear seat passenger reminder is now standard, as is dual-zone climate control, which in the TRD version will be three-zone. The multimedia system will work in conjunction with a screen with a diagonal of seven or nine inches, and heated mirrors will be available in the LE and SE trim levels. In addition, the model has received a new body shade – Ice Edge.

The Nightshade package will include 18-inch black wheels, a black roof antenna, black side window trims, nameplates, door handles and mirror caps and will now be available for hybrid modification. From now on, the Camry Hybrid will be available in five fixed versions: LE, XLE, SE, XSE and Nightshade black.
