Toyota has presented a new electric “heel” ProAce City Electric. The car was developed jointly with the Stellantis alliance, and the cargo and passenger versions of the model are presented, each of which travels about 260-280 kilometers on a single charge.

The new Proace City Electric is built on the e-CMP platform at the heart of the new Citroen e-Berlingo. You can choose from both passenger versions with a Verso attachment and vans with a lifting capacity of 800 kilograms. The machines can be ordered in standard (4.4 meters) or extended version (4.75 meters). And the passenger version of the Verso can have a five- or seven-seater cabin.

The luggage compartment volume behind the second row of seats is 597 and 850 liters, respectively, and if you fold it down, the luggage compartment can be increased to 2,126 liters and up to 2,693 liters, respectively. In addition, ProAce City Electric can move trailers weighing up to 750 kilograms.

The electric motor installed on the front axle produces 136 hp in “sport mode”. and 260 Nm of torque, while in the Eco preset only 82 hp. and 180 Nm. The maximum speed is limited to 135 km / h, and acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h takes from 11.2 to 11.7 seconds, depending on the version.

The electric motor is powered by a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides the car with a range of 260-280 kilometers (in the WLTP driving cycle). The battery can be recharged from household power, from private and public wall boxes (Wallbox), as well as from public ultra-fast charging stations.

Live sales of the electric Toyota Proace City Electric will start in the fourth quarter of this year. Prices are rumored to be announced in the coming weeks. Initially, the Japanese “electric heel” will be available in France, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the UK. The novelty will begin to enter the markets of other countries in late 2021 – early 2022.
