Toyota raised $1.2 million for its US Paralympic team fund through an auction. To do this, the company only needed to auction off the first two serial copies of the new generation Tundra pickup truck.

The first lot of the charity auction was a Capstone Toyota Tundra pickup with body number 001. The car was sold for $700,000. Following her Tundra body kit TRD Pro with body number 002 went under the hammer for $ 550,000. In addition to the machines themselves, the winners of the auction will receive a set of branded souvenirs and a tour of the American Paralympic training center.
Both pickups are powered by the new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which combines a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 petrol with a small electric motor and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The performance of the novelty is 437 hp. and 790 Nm. Interestingly, buyers will receive their cars only in two months, in March of this year.
Proceeds from the auction will go to Toyota’s US Paralympic Fund, which was set up by the company to support US Paralympic athletes. To date, he has supported over 340 athletes across the country. The foundation has raised a total of $4.9 million over the course of its existence. And having sold only two cars, another 1.2 million dollars were added to this piggy bank.
