Toyota unveils another version of Crown

Toyota Motor has continued to expand its Crown lineup, which until recently consisted only of a rear-wheel drive sedan. The series has expanded not only with the Crown Kluger crossover, but also with the Crown Vellfire minivan.

Toyota Vellfire is a full-size (4935 mm long) business van for the Japanese domestic market. This is a modified version of the famous Alphard. The Crown attachment has been added for the Chinese-made Vellfire to highlight the high status of the model.

As with the Crown Kluger, only a few crown logos and new firmware for the dashboard screen and media system were enough to redesign Vellfire into Crown Vellfire.

Otherwise, this is the standard Vellfire. It also differs from the original model specification by a front bumper with huge black sections on the sides.

The Crown Vellfire is powered by a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. The total power of the tandem is 192 HP

Among the additional differences mentioned is the new CN95 filter used in the air conditioning system, the Nanoe X system, which disinfects the air in the cabin. It was developed with support from Panasonic and is a hydroxyl radical nanosized water particle generator. They inhibit the activity of various pathogens, allergens and odors.

Prices for Crown Vellfire in the Middle Kingdom range from 839,000 to 920,000 yuan (approximately 129,200 to 141,700 at current exchange rates). Sales will begin in the coming months.
