The Hinckley company presented a very unusual version of their street. And we like it!
The fashion for a combination of retro styling and maximum performance is clearly gaining momentum, and the British are determined to lead this trend. The excitement of the Speed Triple 1200 RS hasn’t subsided yet, as the guys from Hinckley have rolled out a new product: the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
What did the replacement of the letter “S” with “R” give? The Speed Triple RR features a fully adjustable Speed ?? Triple? Hlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires and sportier ergonomics. The clips are shifted 50 mm down and 135 mm forward, their width has also decreased, and the driver’s footpegs, on the contrary, have been installed higher, which, with a seat height of 830 mm, provided a noticeably sportier fit.
But the most striking thing is, of course, the appearance of the 1200 RR! It’s unusual to see a Speed Triple without twin headlights, but the round RR headlight, combined with a neo-retro miniature half fairing, looks really great. The Speed Triple RR is available in two color options: a combination of red with dark gray and white with a similar gray.
Otherwise, it is the same Speed Triple 1200: the motorcycle is equipped with a 1160-cc in-line “triple” with a capacity of 177 hp, an aluminum frame and Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes, paired with two 320 mm brake discs. All electronic stuffing also migrated here from the RS unchanged: five driving modes, ABS, traction control, two-way quick-shifter and cruise control.
The Speed ?? Triple 1200 RR has a suggested retail price of £ 17,950, which is equivalent to $ 24,700. The motorcycle should appear in dealerships as early as 2022.
