Uber will block the accounts of patients with coronavirus

The Uber Advanced Technologies may temporarily block the accounts of the drivers and the customers who contracted the coronavirus. According to The Verge, the final decision on this matter will be made soon.

“We can temporarily block the accounts of the drivers and the customers who came in contact with infected or sick themselves COVID-19”, – told in the company.

In each case, the Uber staff will consult with the doctor-epidemiologist. Physicians will make the final decision on account blocking.

As reported TASS, at the moment in the US was 938 confirmed and suspected cases of infection with coronavirus in 36 States including the Federal capital district of Columbia, 29 people died. Due to the spread of the virus, it was decided to postpone the August international auto show in new York, scheduled for early April.

The new coronavirus was discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei province in mid-December, 2019. At the moment there are more than 110 thousand infected and more than 4 thousand people. At the moment, the leadership by the number of cases outside of China holds Italy, which recorded more than 10 thousand cases of infection.
