British brand MG, now owned by Chinese group SAIC launched into Thai market to have its first truck, a frame Extender. Novelty is a slightly modified model Maxus T70.

To distinguish from donor MG Extender can do that at the grille with a different pattern and logos. The interiors are identical. “British” pickup will be available with single or double cabin, uncut rear axle, rear or rigidly connected full drive with a decreasing number of transmissions.

The engine is only two-liter diesel engine capacity of 162 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque. The choice offered six-step “mechanics” or “automatic”. In the list of equipment there are led daytime running lights, climate control, leather trim, rear view camera system and blind spot monitoring.

Pickup MG version with a single cabin costs from 549 000 baht or 17 900 dollars at the current rate. For a car with a double cabin will have to pay a minimum 759 000 baht (24 $ 700).
